FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!
This year Maiah started kindergarten. She absolutely loves it. She loves every part about it...especially the bus ride. Her days are filled with all sorts of fun like art class, music, gym, reading, writing, coloring...and all sorts of other fun things. She enjoys going to the library to pick out a new book to read and has made a couple of friends already from her class. More to come from her days at school in the future.

SO LONG, GOOD FRIEND
At the end of July we said goodbye to our lead pastor, John Cressman, and his family as they moved back to Canada. They moved to York, PA ten years ago to plant Pathway Community Church with the Brethren in Christ denomination. In 2002, we moved to York to join the team and help to grow Pathway and reach West York for Christ.
These past five years were an incredible growth experience for both Lorrie and myself. We are extremely grateful for John's leadership and his friendship through the years. He was a great mentor loved to teach the Word of God. His passion was to see everyone at Pathway not only hear God's Word, but apply it their lives...he wanted to bring God's Word to life so that the congregation could live it out in their daily routines of life.
We will miss them greatly, but trust that God has called them to a new place of ministry and that He will call a new lead pastor to Pathway...someone who will have a perfect fit for the next years to come.

ARMY CRAWL
This video is of Evan starting to crawl...it's not a pure crawl, but it's a start. Of course, like the both of the girls, he needed some incentives to get him moving. He's quite fast now...and even uses his knees at times...he'll actually pull himself up to a standing position and walk along the couch. Watch out world, here he comes!
FUN AT KNOEBELS
In August we took a day trip to Knoebels Grove Amusement Park in Elysburg, PA. The weather was almost unbearable with the humidity up to 1,000,000%, but all in all we had a great time.
The girls loved the bumper cars, and the moon walk and the cars you drive "yourself." They went on every ride that spun around and even attempted to make the planes and helicopters move up and down.
Mom and Dad, Diane & Bill, Uncle Randy and Pappy joined us for the day. Diane, Dad and I took some time to ride some of the roller coasters...wowsers, what fun!
We enjoyed a picnic lunch together and lounged in the air conditioning at the Alamo for dinner. Before we left I (Danny) had a Blue Birch Beer...mmmmm yummy.
This was Evan's first time at the park. He really didn't do too much...no rides this year, not even the train...he was napping.
We look forward to going again next year...although we'll probably try to go earlier in the summer to stay away from the intense heat and humidity.

Vacation at the Cape!
We hope you enjoy the few photos that we've included. We obviously took more than just a few, so we've placed more in our vacation photo album on Picasa. Click here to go to our Picasa page.

The Beginning

We've been meaning to start our family blog for several months now...and finally it's up. We know it's not much right now, but at least it's something.
Also, if you notice, the family picture isn't quite up-to-date. Evan is now 4 months and more pics to come soon.
We recently spent a week in Cape Cod as a family. We'll be sharing some photos and video from our time together up there in the days and weeks to come.
